We are so very proud of Stanton J. Stamps (1923-1995) and his service at Pearl Harbor on 7 Dec 1941. Stanton was stationed on the USS New Orleans and just getting ready to go to church when the alarms suddenly went off, calling all to battle stations to defend against the bombing. Stanton survived the attack and continued to serve in the US Navy until the end of WWII. We love you and thank you, Dad, Grandpa, and Great-grandpa.
I have such fond memories of Stan Stamps.
I grew up next door to Stan and Janet and they were always very much a part of my life.
I will always remember their kindness and the life long friendships that developed over the years with the four Stamps boys.
Stan Stamps was one of the best role models in our town that I had the privilege of knowing.
